At Babbabing we have selected a comprehensive range of papers,including poster paper, and canvases covering a wide range of textures, finishes and colour tones. However, if you don't see what you require contact us and we will try to help.

 

Making the right choice for your image is very important and there is no right or wrong paper. Images that look strong on semi-gloss paper, because of the way it captures details and creates a dramatic image, can look softer, more painterly when printed on a matt textured paper.  

 

Our selection of Fine Art Papers combines the highest substrate calibre with advanced printing technology to create prints of the best quality and durability for artists and photographers.

Paper and Canvas

FINE ART PAPER

There is a wide range of papers and canvases to meet the print requirements of artists and photographers. We offer a selection from Hahnemûhle and  Canson covering the main categories of textured, smooth, matt, satin and gloss. All of the Fine Art paper is acid free and not artificially bleached. It is also generally heavier than standard printing paper making it better for mounting.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Bright White

A bright white, smooth, cotton art paper. The lightly defined felt structure and characteristic soft feel gives every print an incredible depth and three-dimensional appearance. This produces impressive FineArt prints boasting vivid colours, deep blacks and extraordinary reproduction of detail. The bright white of the paper also creates particularly brilliant results for high contrast images and is perfect for reproducing FineArt photographs and works of art.

Hahnemühle Bamboo

Hahnemühle Bamboo is the world’s first FineArt inkjet paper made from 90% bamboo fibres, for a natural look and environmentally friendly paper production. The natural white, warm-toned bamboo paper does not contain optical brighteners, and stands out thanks to its soft, lightly textured felt structure and sensual feel. The matt premium inkjet coating delivers excellent printing results with defined reproduction of colour and detail, particularly for warm hues and monochrome prints. Bamboo is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most precise requirements in terms of age resistance.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta

The subtly textured, smooth base paper contains no optical brighteners and has a silky, smooth surface texture with a beautiful feel. The satin-gloss premium inkjet coating guarantees exceptional print results with intense colours, deep blacks and outstanding sharpness. The barium sulphate within the coating makes FineArt Baryta Satin a viable alternative to analogue baryta paper. In combination with the Epson K3 inks it creates an impressive Dmax, producing stunning reproductions of black and white and colour photographs.

Hahnemühle German Etching

This is a traditional mould-made copperplate printing paper made from 100% alpha cellulose. The white art paper is characterised by its extraordinary velvety tactile feel and its fine, clearly defined felt structure. The unique surface texture adds a very special touch to images, showcasing them in all their splendour with impressive three-dimensional effect and depth. An excellent reproduction of colour and detail, deep black and optimum contrasts. This is a watercolour type paper but with a smooth surface making it ideal for images which are highly detailed, and for photographic images. The surface is similar to an etching paper, which will also reproduce traditional prints.

Canson® Infinity Aquarelle Rag

This genuine 100% rag paper possesses the unique structure, surface texture and warm white tone that demanding artists expect from a traditional Fine Art paper. A more pronounced texture than the Hahnemühle German Etching it is a great option for a watercolour effect with a surface that gives high colour intensity and catches the light. Canson® Infinity Aquarelle Rag gives a unique and unrivalled character to the Fine Art reproduction of traditional artwork and photographs.

Hahnemühle William Turner

The fine yet highly pronounced felt structure of the genuine mould-made paper gives photographs and art reproductions a striking depth and 3D effect. There is a natural white tone to this paper and it makes an ideal solution for reproductions of traditional artworks with an outstanding reproduction of colour and detail, impressive contrasts and deep blacks.

 If you’re looking for a heavily textured giclée printing paper William Turner is an excellent choice.

CANVAS

Hahnemühle Art Canvas Smooth

A matt-coated inkjet canvas made from mixed polyester-cotton fabric. The creamy white canvas contains no optical brigtheners and features a smooth, uniform canvas texture. The premium matt inkjet coating produces striking print results. Colours are wonderfully vivid, the depth of the black truly stands out and details are reproduced perfectly. Art Canvas Smooth is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most exacting requirements in terms of age resistance.

The pliable material is flexible and ideal for mounting on canvas stretcher frames.
